...ELEVATED FIRE DANGER TODAY... The risk for wildfire spread is elevated today for West Virginia. Minimum relative humidity values are forecast to drop to around 30%, and wind gusts forecast to reach as high as 50 mph. Open burning of any type may be dangerous. Take precaution with heat and sparks while operating any equipment in wildland areas. West Virginia regulations make it illegal to burn from 7AM to 5PM during the months of March, April, and May.
